A communicative approach to teaching Italian Language and Civilization to Foreign Students, which combines the study of pragmatics and grammar. It is the second edition of a successful course, which has been updated and enlarged thanks to your suggestions too. This course has also become multimedia.
The course promotes passive language learning through activities that make the student focus on language content rather than on formal aspects. This enables learners - especially those whose mother tongue is close to Italian - to acquire the language in an autonomous and fast way. The contents have been organized into a multi-dimensional syllabus structure, which has been visually enhanced too. The Units have been designed to offer a balanced interaction among the different syllabus. They focus equally on the grammatical syllabus, the notional-functional approach, the lexical syllabus, phonetics, as well as on the communicative competence and cultural syllabus. This second edition presents several novelties:
The course is now available also in digital format with keys to all of the activities. Photos and documents have been updated. New We make the point Sections to revise previously learned communicative functions New culture dossiers, at the end of each Unit. Focus on vocabulary. Formative Tests on vocabulary, language functions and grammar for learners, and level tests for the teacher. End of Volume Glossary. A substantial Grammar section at the end of the volume. Authentic videos and extra activities.
