What are your opening hours?

We are open  Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30pm.


Where are you located?

Our postal address is International Books, 18 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2. You can find our location map here.


Do you operate through Amazon.com?

We neither operate through Amazon.com nor are we affiliated with anybody who does operate through Amazon.com.


How do I order a book?
When you have found a book you want to order, click on the “Add to Cart” button.  This will bring you to the shopping cart screen.  To add more books, click on “Continue Shopping”.  To place your order click on “Checkout”. To remove items from your basket, tick the relevant button or change the quantity in the quantity column and click “Recalculate”. You can get to your shopping basket by clicking on the basket icon or the summary at any time. Register an account to order books online. Enter the necessary information such as email
address, password, billing and delivery address and payment method.
Also include delivery method and order reference.
Once you submit the order, you will be shown an order number, and you will be sent an order  email.

Please note: if your order is in the process of being dispatched it cannot be cancelled.

How long will my order take?

If your order is out of stock, we will e-mail you with an expected availability date. This date is based on information we receive from suppliers and publishers and is as up-to-date as possible. If the items have differing availability and are to be despatched together, the order will be delayed until all the items are available. Your credit card will not be charged until the order is despatched. If your order has not arrived within the expected time frame and was sent via An Post, please allow 10 working days for it to arrive before contacting us. If your order has been sent with a courier service and has not arrived after 3 working days please advise us so that we can investigate.

What are your shipping charges?

Within Ireland, books can be delivered, or collected from our shop. There is no charge for collecting books. Small orders are delivered by An Post; larger orders are delivered by courier service – in both cases we recommend using a delivery address where someone will be present to receive the delivery and sign for it if necessary.

Do you deliver overseas?

Can I return a product?

There are two ways you can return an item to us, provided that you do so within 28 days of receipt and the goods are in perfect condition. We consider each request to return a product on a individual basis.

If your order was placed online you can return it with the receipt to International Books store for a refund or exchange. Alternatively a return authorization must be issued before an item is returned. Please contact us before sending any books back to us. The postage on returned goods will be borne by you, unless we were at fault.

There are some limited edition or hard to find books that are not on our website. If you contact us by e-mail and we are able to find the book for you, it may be a firm sale book. This means we need a firm commitment from you before we order it because we won’t be able to return it to the supplier. In this rare case, it would not be a refundable order. However, we would notify you about this through e-mail before you committed to the order.

Please note: International Books does not offer refunds or replacements on all software items, CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs, audio CDs and cassettes, DVDs/VHS, magazines and photocopiable materials.

Are the prices the same online as in your shop?

While we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling.  Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details.

Do you stock all the books on your website? Are all the books available?

In order to offer the widest range possible to our customers, we also list every book we expect to be able to source easily.  Where we do not have a book in stock, we will order it from the publisher or wholesaler.  Although we strive to keep all the information on the website up to date, we may find that a book is temporarily unavailable, or has gone out of print. If there will be any delay in fulfilling your order we will contact you by email.
