In a big city on the sea a very rich man lives alone with his six children. When he loses all his wealth he is forced to move to the country with his family. One day he gets lost in the woods and finds refuge in a large castle, where he picks a rose to offer the younger daughter, Belle. But suddenly, a horrible beast appears.
